A new woodworking classroom thanks to a legacy!

At the Waldorf School Inkanyezi, located in the Alexandra township in Johannesburg, there is now a new classroom. The children are taught woodworking here. Thanks to the legacy of Truus Geraerts, a passionate eurythmist from the Netherlands, this school's wish has come true!

Inkanyezi is located in the Alexandra slum. Poverty is very high and living space is very small. The children at this school are extremely happy that they can learn 'a trade'. They find working with wood a fun extension of their subjects, and it prepares them for an independent existence. The International Aid Fund has been supporting this school for many years and sees that the willpower and cooperation lead to enthusiastic and eager to learn students.
